Thank you to everyone who came to our booth at the ASSE Show (Safety2018) last week. We had a great time showing everyone our newest products. Here’s a picture the team from Occupational Health & Safety took of me showing the HyperLite. I wish I could talk about all the highlights from the show, but there’s just not enough room in this post!
Make sure to visit https://ohsonline.com/live to check out all the highlights from the show!
I just wanted to share the ALI’s news release for Ladder Safety Month. It is full of great resources to help you learn more about ladder safety. Some of the resources the ALI made available as part of Ladder Safety Month last month are:
–Ladder safety training
–Ladder safety checklist
–Ladders 101 web page and posters.
A member of the ALI board, Ronald Schwartz from TRI-ARC Manufacturing said, “This month is great, not only because of the important information that is discussed, but also because it draws attention to free resources that ALI provides year round. Which I think is appropriate, because ladder safety is always important.”
While Ladder Safety Month was last month, ladder safety is important year-round.
It’s been a busy last couple of months. As you know, the end of last month, I was Indianapolis for NSC. Since then, I’ve taken quite a few trips.
I recently returned from an MCAA training in Kansas, the the OSHA construction round table in DC. I spent this week in Southern Oregon for a safety meeting. Then I’ll head over to Nashville to teach a class and North Carolina to do some company training. Early next month we are doing open houses in Portland then filming a safety video for the Navy in California. It will be a busy next month or so!
I have some great news for those of you looking for a safety conference near you.
In October, there will be a conference in Ashland, Oregon. It will be Oct. 17-19 and will feature presentations on topics including fall protection and fire safety. The keynote speaker will be Kerry Barnett, president and CEO of SAIF Corportion.
The Southern Oregon Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers and Oregon OSHA are co-sponsoring the conference. You can register for this conference by clicking here. For more information, visit their website.
