A Wisconsin man fell from his ladder last December. He was transported by ambulance to a helicopter where he was transported to a hospital with a trauma center.
He got a T-10 spinal fracture with a severed spinal cord and trauma to his brain After multiple surgeries, he was kept in the ICU in a medically induced coma for several weeks. He was finally discharged after two months. While grateful to be alive, he is now a paraplegic with chronic nerve pain.
We don’t have enough detail on the accident to talk about how the accident could have been prevented, but this man’s story shows us the damage that can be done from a ladder accident. He is still alive, but his life has been forever altered.
Our goal is to help prevent these types of accident and injuries. Be safe out there today and every day.
